Quick recipe finder Apple and herb stuffing
- 1 eating apple, cored and finely chopped
- 80g/3oz fresh white breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp fresh herbs, parsley, thyme, sage or tarragon, chopped
- salt and pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
Mix together the apple, breadcrumbs and herbs and season well.
Add enough of the egg to bind all together and use to stuff meat or poultry or roll into individual stuffing balls.
If making stuffing balls, bake in the oven with the meat for 30 minutes.
If you are making this as a dairy-free recipe, take care to ensure the breadcrumbs are dairy free. Although many breads contain dairy, free-from options are widely available – just check the label.
